Vanessa Pritchard is a singer, songwriter and guitarist, based in Auckland, New Zealand. 
She began playing guitar as a child, and later, her love of vocals became the spotlight of her compositions.  Playing acoustic pop and soul, her style reflects training in blues and jazz guitar, as well as personal influence from rock and r & b.  

Vanessa writes original songs, packaged in pop structures, whose subject material revolves around relating to people, the world, and emotions that accompany such relationships.  The songs flow with rhythmic guitar, while vocals reel out and intertwine with beat and melody.  They are sometimes powerful, and sometimes gentle.  Lyrics tell tales of curious encounters, and ask questions to prospective listeners.  During live performances, she enjoys interacting with and entertaining audiences with humour and honesty.
